Sayville HS Art Students Shine

Art students recognized for outstanding work.

students Renee and Emily McClellan recently had their artwork showcased at the Advanced Visions VII: High School Artists of Excellence exhibition held at C.W. Post, which recognizes the superior work being done by high school students in Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Portfolio Preparation art programs from Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens.

Emily received an honorable mention for her ink drawing of “Boots."

“This year’s work is some of the strongest we have seen," said Rick Odell, the exhibition coordinator. "The students’ grasp of concept at an early age is astonishing; it is evident in every piece. The work is so personal the viewer has no choice but to relate to the artist and feel the same emotion conveyed by the artist. It really is exciting to see."

Also, at the South Bay Art Association Senior Show, Sayville senior art student Brandon Woelfel received an honorable mention for his computer graphics “Self Portrait."

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
