Talk Back: Do You Support New Town Beach Access Fee?

Come this summer Brookhaven Town residents who love Brookhaven Town beaches, such as Corey Beach, will have to pony up $25 for a two-year parking permit, or pay $5 each visit to manned parking facilities. The fee to access town boat ramps is not included in this resident parking permit.

It's the first time Brookhaven is charging residents a fee. Islip Town residents pay $25 for a town recreation card to access town pools and facilities.

What do you think? Aren't taxes already paying for resident use? Or do you think it's a great way to raise money as the town believes it will pull in over $600,000.
