POLLING PLACE UPDATES: W.Sayville to Blue Point

No changes to where local voters will cast their ballots on Tuesday.

While Hurricane Sandy has forced the Suffolk County Board of Elections to move some polling places across the County, the communities from West Sayville to Blue Point will not be impacted.

The BOE also said it is still assessing damages and the power situation at the polls, and as of Friday afternoon had made arrangements to move seven Suffolk polling places in communities including Deer Park, Oak Beach, Ocean Bay Park, Northport, Ocean Beach and Kings Park.

"We are doing everything possible to ensure that our elections will move forward as scheduled," election officials said in a statement.

The BOE added that absentee voting hours have been extended to Monday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

For questions or more information, call the Board of Elections at (631) 852-4500.

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
