Kathreen Mangaluz Receives Environmental Award

Town of Islip honors students with Charles Pulaski Memorial Environmental Award.

Islip Town Supervisor Phil Nolan and members of the Islip Town Board recently honored the winners of the Charles Pulaski Memorial Environmental Award, which included Sayville’s salutatorian .  

Charles Pulaski was dedicated to environmental causes in Islip throughout the 1970s. The award honors Pulaski’s legacy and encourages the Town’s youth to take an active part in environmental preservation.

The award is given out to Town of Islip high school students who have demonstrated concern in regard to environmental issues.
