It's Big Sign Season As Election Day Looms

The political season hits home in Bayport and Blue Point.

Political election signs are popping up all over between Blue Point and Bayport.

Some are small and clustered at high traffic corners south of Montauk Highway, many along the well traversed Railroad Avenue and increasingly sprouting up on residents' lawns.

Others are huge wooden frame structures requiring three sturdy legs of support and placed prominently along Montauk Highway near intersections including McConnell Avenue and Nicolls Road.

Patch wonders if such signage efforts sway voters and play a role in name recognition at the polls come November 5.

Do you think they're useful, or do you think they litter the landscape?
