Brookhaven To Help Smokers Kick Habit

Town offers six-week smoking cessation program.

The Town of Brookhaven has announced its program schedule to help residents who are looking to quit smoking.

The six-week smoking cessation program will begin on Tuesday, July 30 and will continue every Tuesday until September 3. According to a release from the town, the program will help attendees learn the skills needed to kick the habit, including stress management techniques, behavior modification and relaxation methods. Medication will also be available for those who might need additional help, for a fee.

The meetings will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the Youth Bureau conference room on the second floor of Town Hall on Independence Hill in Farmingville.
