B-BP District Alerts Parents of Registered Sex Offender

The board of education letter provides information for parents to learn more.

The Bayport-Blue Point School District has issued a notice that a sex offender is living within the district’s boundaries and posted a letter to parents on how to gain further information.

In a note dated August 15, district officials inform residents that they can stop by the district office during summer school hours or go online and access the New York State Department of Criminal Justice website where they can search by zip code to learn the specifics of sex offenders that are residing in the community.
