Apple Festival Coming To Sayville Again This Fall

Town of Islip announces the return of this popular event.

The Apple Festival will be back again and is scheduled for Saturday, October 15 at the Islip Grange, on the corner of Broadway Avenue and Main Street.

Get ready for craft vendors, scarecrows, pumpkins, and apple pie stands ready to dazzle visitors.

“The Town’s Apple Festival is a great opportunity for families to get together and celebrate the autumn season,” said Town of Islip Supervisor Phil Nolan. “I encourage everyone to stop by and take part in this wonderful tradition.”

Admission to this popular event is free, as is entry into the scarecrow contest and the apple goods culinary competition. Scarecrows and apple goods aren’t the only attractions, however. Many craft vendors from several states will be on hand displaying and selling woodcrafts, floral crafts, needlework, and culinary items, as well as holiday crafts. Entertainment, including the ever-popular band Southbound, quilt, yarn and woodcarving demonstrations, and pony rides will take place throughout the day, and the picnic area will be open to all.

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and he rain date is Sunday, October 16. If you are interested in being a vendor,  call the Creative Affairs office at 224-5430 or send pictures of your handcrafted items to Fairs, 50 Irish Lane, East Islip, NY 11730. Only handcrafted items will be allowed at the event and we require first time vendors to send us a photo of their work.

For further information about the Apple Festival, please call 224-5430.

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
