Vandals Steal Banners, Smash Pumpkins at Sayville Restaurant

One-month-old restaurant hopes to get banners back.

Sayville's newest restaurant, Parlor House Grill, was the target of vandals and thieves Sunday night.

The family-owned restaurant, which opened in early October, had hung two banners, on each side of the Main Street eatery,  highlighting Thanksgiving dinner reservations were being taken.

When restaurant owners arrived Monday morning the banners were gone, and the pumpkins and harvest decor that had been on the restaurant's front porch were smashed and strewn across the east side parking lot, according to the owners.

A police report was filed, and the owners are hopeful that someone will return the banners.
