Toddler in Serious Condition After Being Found Unresponsive in Sayville Pool
Girl is found in pool on Chester Road Tuesday morning, police say.
Police are investigating an incident in which an 18-month-old girl was found unresponsive in a family’s pool in Sayville Tuesday morning.
Police responded to a home on Chester Road after a 911 caller reported that the toddler was found unresponsive in the in-ground pool at about 10:30 a.m.

Police officers, with assistance from members of the Sayville Community Ambulance Company Inc., performed CPR on the girl.

She was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue and then transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was in serious condition. The investigation is continuing.
