Alleged Shoplifters To Be Arraigned Friday
Three who led law enforcement authorities on a high-speed chase that ended in Sayville set to appear in court.
The three alleged shoplifters who led police on a high speed chase that will be arraigned Friday on a grand jury indictment in Riverhead, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Judge Martin Efman will unseal the indictment.
Cordell Tucker, 24, Rashawn Naquan-Smith, 26, and 18-year-old Essence Smith are charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The alleged shoplifters ran out of True Religion, a clothing store in the Tanger Outlets, with stacks of jeans totaling $4,500.

According to the district attorney's office, Tucker crashed into another vehicle on Lincoln Avenue and Sunrise Highway during a police chase on June 27.
Gail Sacher, 61, died of her injuries at Southside Hospital, while her husband Alan, was also injured in the crash.
