Bayport-Blue Point District Issues Alert on Sexual Offender Residency
Sexual offender is living on Sylvan Avenue in Bayport.
The Bayport-Blue Point School District issued a letter late Thursday to parents alerting them that a sexual offender is living in the district.
It is the second sexual offender residing in the school district.
The notice, required by Meghan’s Law, informs parents they can view the information regarding the sex offender at any of the school district buildings or use the state criminal justice site to access the information.

According to the NYS criminal justice site the registered sex offender is living on Sylvan Avenue and served five years in state prison after being convicted in 2004 for a sexual act with an eight year old.
