Sayville Resident Dies After Falling From Lynbrook Building

The incident is still under investigation.

A Sayville resident died after falling from the Pistilli Corporate Center in Lynbrook on July 1, according to Lynbrook Police.

Police did not provide any additional details, but are reportedly investigating whether the man intentionally jumped or accidentally fell from the building, located at 303 Merrick Road in Lynbrook.

The Lynbrook, East Rockaway and Rockville Centre Fire Departments were on the scene to keep people away from the crime scene and assist any witnesses who were shaken up.

"We took care of distraught onlookers," said Lynbrook First Assistant Chief Anthony DeCarlo. "A couple of women were really distraught. We took them in the ambulance and took their blood pressure."

Hempstead Avenue was temporarily closed between Merrick Avenue and Peninsula Boulevard for the investigation.
