ARRESTS

January 14, 2013

A Sayville man was arrested in Sayville and charged with aggravated harassment.

A Sayville man was arrested in Shirley for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

January 11, 2013

Jessica Clark, of Sayville, was arrested in Patchogue and charged with DWI, first offense.

January 9, 2013

Steven Siliati, of Sayville, was arrested in Sayville and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing.

A Sayville man was arrested in Sayville for criminal possession of stolen property.

INCIDENTS

January 14, 2013

An Overton Street resident reported an incident of criminal mischief involving an ex-boyfriend.

January 10, 2013

A resident on Rollstone Avenue, West Sayville reported a dispute between two brothers.

January 12, 2013

A harassment incident between two tenants involving verbal threats was reported on Chester Road.

January 11, 2013

A Raft Avenue resident reported items stolen from a Jeep.

January 10, 2013

Criminal mischief was reported by an Easy Street resident.

January 9, 2013

Items were reported stolen from a car on Atlantic Avenue in West Sayville.

An incident of aggravated harassment was reported on Main Street in Sayville.

An incident of aggravated harassment allegedly involving a 12 year old boy being bullied was reported on Railroad Avenue in Sayville.

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
