Sayville Crime Report: Lots of Harassment Incidents

A list of recent police activity in West Sayville and Sayville as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

ARRESTS

November 8, 2012

A Sayville woman was arrested in Sayville and charged with aggravated harassment.

October 31, 2012

An East Moriches man was arrested in Sayville and charged with criminal contempt.

 

INCIDENTS

November 11, 2012

A Railroad Avenue resident reported an incident of harassment involving a 17-year-old son throwing objects in a house.

November 8, 2012

A Cele Court resident reported an incident of harassment involving a spouse with a gun.

A Claire Drive resident reported criminal mischief to a bike by an ex-girlfriend who was also threatening the resident.

A Dale Drive, West Sayville resident reported the theft of ID.

November 7, 2012

A Chester Road resident reported an incident of aggravated harassment involving an ex-boyfriend.

A Languth Street resident reported an incident of harassment involving a threat and cursing.

November 6, 2012

An incident of harassment was reported on Munson Lane, West Sayville.

November 4, 2012

An incident of harassment was reported on Broadway Avenue.

November 3, 2012

A North Main Street resident reported an incident of harassment involving an assault.

November 1, 2012

Criminal mischief to a car was reported on Revelyn Court.

An assault was reported on River Road.

October 30, 2012

Items were reported stolen from a car on Lincoln Avenue.

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
