Sayville Crime Report: DUI, Petit Larceny & Car Mischief

A list of recent police activity in West Sayville and Sayville as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

 

ARRESTS

April 29, 20120

Kim Mciver, of Sayville, was arrested in Bayport and charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs.

April 27, 2012

Michael N. Jr. Contello, of Sayville, was arrested in Patchogue and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

April 26, 2012

Diane Greening, of Sayville, was arrested in Lake Grove and charged with petit larceny.

April 25, 2012

Daniel Lane, of Sayville, was arrested in Selden and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

April 23, 2012

Ryan Golka, of Sayville, was arrested in Bay Shore and charged with burglary in the second degree and petit larceny.

 

INCIDENTS

April 29, 2012

An incident of harassment was reported on Main Street in West Sayville.

April 28, 2012

Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported by a Colony Drive, West Sayville resident.

April 26, 2012

A West Sayville resident reported criminal mischief to a vehicle on Cherry Avenue.

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
