Sayville Crime Report: Decrease In Crime This Month

A list of recent police activity in Sayville and West Sayville as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests

  • On Feb. 11, Susan Marrazzo from North Bellport was arrested in Sayville on charges of possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Lisa Broughton from Mastic Beach was arrested in Sayville on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Feb. 11.

Incidents

  • An incident of harassment on Henry Street in Sayville was reported to police on Feb. 8 at 9 p.m.
  • Police were notified of a robbery at gun point on Main Street in Sayville on Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m.
  • On Feb. 11, an incident of harassment on Claire Lane in Sayville was reported to police at 7 p.m.
  • Berard Boulevard residents in West Sayville alerted police of an incident of criminal mischief at 7 p.m. on Feb. 11.
  • On Montauk Highway in Sayville, another incident of harassment was reported to police on at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 12.
