Resident Honored for Bravery in Sayville
Barbara Fey receives citation from Suffolk County Legislature.
At a recent Suffolk County Legislative meeting, Legislator Tom Cilmi (R-10th LD) presented Barbara Fey with a citation for her bravery.
Fey, a probation officer, was driving through Sayville recently when she noticed erratic behavior from another driver. She thought that the driver might be having a seizure. She then watched as he drove his car up onto the curb and into oncoming traffic.
Fey ran after the vehicle and, while it was still moving, jumped in and stepped on the brake. Thanks to her bravery and quick-thinking, no one was injured. The driver was in fact having a seizure.
