Prostitution Bust at Blue Point Strip Store Location

Tenants in Montauk Highway storefront hope arrest ends activity.

Several Blue Point businesses are hoping an arrest for prostitution and unauthorized practice of a profession is the nail in the coffin for a business that has been operating within their small strip of storefronts along Montauk Highway.

On November 20 Suffolk Police arrested Suhua Li, of Flushing, and charged her with prostitution, a misdemeanor, and the unauthorized practice of massage, an E felony. The arrest took place at 2 Bell Avenue, a small office area on the west side of the strip center that houses an All State insurance location, the Devil’s Rose Tattoo and  the Thongpan Chang Restaurant.

Several tenants said the illegal activity had been ongoing for over three years, and caused concern to both employees and store owners given the type of customer traffic the business was bringing into the back parking lot.

Complaints were made over the years and police response was intermittent until tenants began complaining more about the issues with the renter, say business owners.

There is no name at the location and no one answered the door Monday.
