Police: Sunrise Highway Closed At Nicolls Road
Highway is closed both ways further east in Patchogue, say police.

Sunrise Highway is currently closed on the eastbound lanes in Bayport and in both directions Friday morning at the intersection with Waverly Avenue in Patchogue, Suffolk County Police told Patch.
The reason for the closing is not yet available, but police could confirm that emergency services are on the scene.
Police told Patch the incident causing the closing occurred around 8:20 a.m. No other information is available. From Patch's observations, the bridge is currently filled with police officers with a group of officers working at the center of the bridge. A man appears to be holding onto the outside of the Waverly Avenue bridge, which is where the officers are located.
