Peter Fallon, the West Sayville man who had been missing for five days, was found at 4 p.m. Friday at the old FAA site (now the West Sayville National Wildlife Refuge) off Cherry Avenue.
According to his brother Chris, he was found by Wildlife Refuge personnel (accompanied by his sister in law) and is being transported to a local hospital to be treated.
Fallon, 70, went missing on Sunday from the Maple Rest Adult Home at 61 Rollstone Ave. in West Sayville.
"The Suffolk County Missing Persons Division, the SCPD K-9 units, the SCPD aviation assets, the officers of the SCPD 5th Precinct and the West Sayville Fire Dept. have been very engaged and we thank them for all of their efforts," Chris Fallon said.
