UPDATE: No Injuries In Sayville House Fire

Home on Loop Drive suffers damage in blaze that broke out mid day Wednesday.

The Sayville Fire Department responded to a two-story house fire on Loop Drive around noon Wednesday and quickly extinguished a blaze that began in the rear of the house in the kitchen, according to Sayville Fire Department Chief Thomas Pantano.

The homeowner was not home at the time and no one was reported hurt in the incident, said the chief. Two hoses were set up and the house was searched. Multiple animals, including cats, were found in the home.

The Holbrook and Bayport fire departments responded as mutual aid with West Sayville within quarters. The Community Ambulance and Suffolk Police were on the scene within minutes as well, according to neighbors.
