News Nearby: 3 Teens Injured in Oakdale Crash

The West Sayville FD extricated two from vehicle.

Suffolk Police are investigating a car crash on Locust Avenue in Oakdale Tuesday night that injured three local teenagers.

According to police James Conway, 18, of Oakdale, was driving a 1998 Ford Mustang northbound on Locust Avenue when he crossed over into the southbound lane, south of Bourne Boulevard, and ran into a telephone pole at 11:19 p.m.

Conway and a rear seat passenger, Jessica Napolitano, 18, also of Oakdale, were extricated from the vehicle by members of the West Sayville Fire Department.

The third passenger, Conal Orgonas, 17, of Bohemia, was ejected from the vehicle. 

Police say the victims were treated at the scene and transported by the Community Ambulance Company of Sayville to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where they are all listed in serious condition.

Police are investigating whether wet road conditions may have contributed to the cause of the crash. The car was impounded for a safety check.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
