SAYVILLE

Longtime fire commissioner Donald Corkery is seeking re-election this year and running unopposed for a five-year term.

Corkery is currently chairman of the fire district and has served as a commissioner for 25 years. The ex-chief has been a member of the department for 40 years.

Voting at the Sayville Fire Department headquarters, at the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Montauk Highway, will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The extended poll hours are to accommodate seniors and residents who may work shift days, and to make voting as accessible as possible, according to fire department officials.

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
