Crimes Nearby: Craigslist Encounter Turns Violent

Police say a man sitting in a vehicle with a woman he met on Craigslist was robbed by another woman who lunged at him with a knife in the parking lot of the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park on July 18. 

The incident occurred in the north parking lot of the outlets at 11:40 a.m. Police say a female knocked on the passenger's side door of the vehicle and then demanded the man's wallet and cell phone while brandishing a knife. The victim was able to open the door and flee on foot. The robber did steal the man's keys, police say. Police would not say whether or not the woman the victim met on Craigslist was involved in the robbery.
