Crime Report: Two Arrests Reported

Recent police activity in the area as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.

ARRESTS

  • On Nov. 3, Joseph Tamburello from Sayville was arrested in Sayville for petit larceny.
  • On Nov. 3, Malachi McKenzie from Sayville was arrested in Sayville for criminal contempt.

INCIDENTS

  • On Oct. 28, an incident of harassment was reported on Browns River Road.
  • On Oct. 31, an incident of aggravated harassment was reported on Lakeland Avenue.
  • On Oct. 31, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Astor Drive.
  • On Oct. 31, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Edwards Street.
  • On Nov. 1, an incident of aggravated harassment was reported on Candee Avenue.
  • On Nov. 2, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Gillette Avenue.
  • On Nov. 3, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Main Street.
  • On Nov. 4, an incident of criminal mischief was reported to a vehicle on Astor Drive.
  • On Nov. 4, two incidents of harassment were reported on Grundy Avenue.
  • On Nov. 5, an incident of harassment was reported on Atlantic Avenue in West Sayville.
  • On Nov. 6, an incident of burglary was reported on Handsome Avenue.
