Crime Report: Thefts and Harassment

A list of recent police activity as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

Arrests

  • On May 19, Michael Barlitz from Mastic was arrested in Bayport for grand larceny.
  • Blue Point resident Michael Hackett was arrested in Sayville for criminal contempt on May 23.
  • Ramon Mimbstorres from Brooklyn was arrested in Bayport on May 25 for criminal sale of a controlled substance.
  • Bayport resident Douglas Sessa was arrested in Brentwood for criminal contempt on May 26.
  • On May 27, Marbil Sortotursio from Blue Point was arrested in Bay Shore for criminal possession of stolen property.

  • On May 20, an incident of harassment on Sylvan Avenue in Bayport was reported to police at 4 p.m.
  • Eatondale Avenue residents in Blue Point alerted police of an incident of harassment at 5:30 a.m. on May 20.
  • Police were notified of an incident of harassment at Nevele on Montauk Highway in Blue Point at 2 a.m. on May 22.
