Crime Report: Thanksgiving DWI Arrests and Incidents of Grand Larceny

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

This information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport and Blue Point. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. Complaints listed are alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests

  • Michael Plescia from Bayport was arrested in Sayville for menacing, criminal possesstion of a weapon, criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny on Nov. 22.
  • On Nov. 24, Christopher Hurd from Medford was arrested in Bayport for driving while intoxicated.
  • Blue Point resident Erik Lugo was arrested on Nov. 25 obstruction of government and violent disorderly conduct.
  • On Nov. 25, Michael Lomuto from Coram was arrested in Blue Point for driving while intoxicated.
  • Bellport resident Alex Alvarado was arrested in Blue Point for driving while intoxicated on Nov. 25.
  • Selvin Perez from Shirley was arrested in Bayport for harassment on Nov. 25.

  • Police were notified of criminal mischief on Montauk Highway in Bayport when the owner's security lights were shot out at 10 a.m. on Nov. 21.
  • On Nov. 25 at 2 p.m., police were alerted of an incident of grand larceny when a resident's purse was stolen from her vehicle on Suydam Lane in Bayport.
  • Police were alerted of another incident of grand larceny on Montauk Highway in Bayport on Nov. 25 at 3 p.m.
  • On Nov. 21 at 6:45 p.m., residents complained to police of an incident of harassment on Middle Road in Blue Point.
  • An incident of assault was reported to police on Blue Point Avenue in Blue Point on Nov. 25. at 1 a.m.
