Crime Report: Seven Arrests Made This Week
Recent police activity in the area as reported by the 5th Precinct.
The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.
Arrests:
- On March 9, John Babino from Holbrook was arrested in Sayville for possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of marijuana.
- On March 9, Eric Law from Bohemia was arrested in Sayville for loitering and unlawful use of a controlled substance.
- On March 11, Kelly Baker from West Sayville was arrested in Sayville for DWI.
- On March 11, Selina Piscitelli from West Sayville was arrested in Smithtown for DWI.
- On March 13, Brian Walters from Sayville was arrested in Blue Point for DWAI, combined drugs and alcohol.
- On March 13, Dennis Mullen from Sayville was arrested in Blue Point for operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
- On March 14, Nicholas Heffernan from Shirley was arrested in Sayville for unlawful possession of marijuana.

- On March 11, an incident of harassment was reported on Smith Street in Sayville.
- On March 11, an incident of burglary was reported on Montauk Highway in Sayville.
- On March 12, an incident of harassment was reported on North Main Street in Sayville.
- On March 14, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Manton Street in Sayville.
