Crime Report: Serious Arrests and Criminal Mischief Incidents

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

Arrests

  • Gary Blauvelt Jr. from Smithtown was arrested in Bayport on Nov. 27 on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
  • East Patchogue resident Angel Morenoreyes was arrested in Bayport on Nov. 29 on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident which caused serious injury.
  • On Nov. 30, William Brown Jr. from Nesconset was arrested in Bayport on a charge of operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
  • Joseph Nicoletti from Bayport was arrested in Bayport on a charge of criminal possession of a weapon (firearm) on Dec. 1.
  • On Dec. 1, Jose Cordero from Blue Point was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug).
  • Matthew Zis from Sayville was arrested in Blue Point for obstruction of a governmental administration on Dec. 2.

  • On Nov. 6, an incident of criminal mischief on Seaman Avenue in Bayport was reported to police at 8 p.m.
  • At 2:30 a.m. on S. Snedecor Avenue in Bayport, residents alerted police of an incident of criminal mischief on Nov. 29.
  • On Dec. 1, police were notified of an incident of criminal mischief on Bowne Avenue in Blue Point at 8 a.m.
