Crime Report: One Arrest Reported this Week
Recent police activity in the area as reported by the 5th Precinct.
The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.
Arrests
- Abner Rodriguez, from Sayville, was arrested in Brentwood for aggravated unlicensed operation and for criminal possession of a controlled substance.

- On Nov. 29, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Mathews Road in Sayville.
- On Dec. 1, an incident of harassment was reported on Locust Avenue in Sayville.
- On Dec. 2, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Brook Street in West Sayville.
- On Dec. 5, an incident of grand larceny was reported on John Street in Sayville.
- On Dec. 5, an incident of harassment was reported on Kemi Lane in Sayville.
