Crime Report: Larceny and DWI's

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

Arrests

  • On June 5, Deana Molfese from Shirley was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
  • Brittney Bostinto from Bayport was arrested in Patchogue for petit larceny on June 6.
  • On June 8, Joseph Sanchez from Central Islip was arrested in Bayport for grand larceny.
  • Onan Chica from Central Islip was also arrested in Bayport for grand larceny on the same day.
  • On June 10, Kayla Murray from Bayport was arrested in Patchogue for criminal contempt and criminal possession of a controlled substance. On the same day, she was also arrested in Oakdale for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, acting in a manner that could injure a child and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • Oakdale resident Christine Schultz was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of driving while intoxicated on June 11.

Incidents

  • On June 4, police were notified of an incident of grand larceny from a car on the northbound side of Nicholls Road in Blue Point  at 11 p.m. 
  • An incident of criminal mischief on Montauk Highway in Blue Point was reported to police at 10 a.m. on June 5.
  • Police were alerted of another incident of grand larceny on Montauk Highway in Blue Point at noon on June 7.
  • Grandview Avenue residents reported an incident of grand larceny to police at 11 p.m. on June 8.
