Crime Report: Eight Arrests Reported in Sayville

Recent police activity in the area as reported by the Fifth Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests:

  • On Sept. 19, Robert Dornan from Oakdale was arrested in Sayville for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • On Sept. 20, Kevin Otte from Holbrook was arrested in Sayville for a controlled substance.
  • On Sept. 20, Francis Ziemba from Pleasantville was arrested in Sayville for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • On Sept. 21, Aldemar Sanchez from Holbrook was arrested in Sayville for criminal mischief.
  • On Sept. 22, Marie Dowd from Sayville was arrested in Bohemia for criminal possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle while impaired.
  • On Sept. 22, Jason Egan from West Sayville was arrested in West Sayville for assault.
  • On Sept. 24, Kevin Shiels from Floral Park was arrested in Sayville for DWI.
  • On Sept. 26, William Wiggin from Smithtown was arrested in Sayville for criminal contempt.

  • On Sept. 21, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Jones Drive in Sayville.
  • On Sept. 21, an incident of arson was reported on Brook Street in West Sayville.
  • On Sept. 23, an incident of harassment was reported on Sunrise Highway Service Road in Sayville.
  • On Sept. 23, an incident of burglary was reported on Colton Avenue in Sayville.
  • On Sept. 24, an incident of burglary was reported on Indian Head Drive in Sayville.
  • On Sept. 24, an incident of robbery was reported on West Main Street in Sayville.
