Crime Report: DWI Arrests and Criminal Mischief

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

This information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport and Blue Point. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. Complaints listed are alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests

  • Faith Ersoz from Medford was arrested in Blue Point for driving while intoxicated on Dec. 5.
  • On Dec. 6, Lynn Spruill from Bellport was arrested in Bayport for grand larceny and forgery.
  • Brielle Levy from Bayport was arrested in Bayport for criminal contempt on Dec. 6.
  • On Dec. 9, Edward Sembler from Bayport was arrested in patchogue for criminal possession of a controlled substance and grand larceny.
  • Port Jeff Station resident Amanda McAlvin was arrested in Bayport for driving while intoxicated on Dec. 11
  • On Dec. 11, Christina Rivera from Bayport was arrested in Bayport for driving while intoxicated.
  • Blue Point resident Joshua Letsch was arrested in Lake Grove for criminal possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 10.
  • Port Jefferson Station resident Lauren Becker was arrested in Blue Point for driving while intoxicated  and under the influence of drugs on Dec. 11.

Incidents

  • Property damage was reported to police by residents on Atlantic Avenue in Blue Point on Dec. 5 at 9 p.m.
  • On Dec. 8 at 9 p.m., police were alerted of an incident of criminal mischief on Academy Street in Bayport.
  • Collins Court residents in Bayport notified police of damaged property and criminal mischief on Dec. 8 at 11 p.m.
  • At 9 p.m. on Dec. 10, residents on S. Snedecor Avenue alerted police of an incident of criminal mischief to a mailbox.
  • Police were informed of an incident of grand larceny on Montauk Highway in Blue Point on Dec. 11 just before 1 p.m.
