A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct
The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department’s Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Arrests
- Scott Hall from Blue Point was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance on July 26.
- On Aug. 3, Karen Leakhamilton from Bayport was arrested in Bayport on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
- Osmin Benavides from Bayport was arrested in Patchogue on Aug. 3 on a charge of petit larceny and trespassing.
- James Meehan from Patchogue was arrested in Bayport on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Aug. 4.
- On Aug. 5, Jeffrey Tuttle from Patchogue was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
- Patrick Farrell from Holtsville was arrested in Blue Point on Aug. 6 on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

- An incident of assault was reported to police on Bayport Avenue in Bayport at 3:45 a.m. on July 31.
- Police were alerted to another incident of assault on Aug. 1 near Montauk Highway in Blue Point at 10:30 p.m.
- An incident of criminal mischief (slashed tires) was reported to police on Montauk Highway in Blue Point on Aug. 2 at 1:30 p.m.
- On Aug. 3, Terrace Road residents in Bayport notified police of an incident of harassment at 8 p.m.
