Crime Report: Criminal Mischief In The Area

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

Arrests

  • Robert Dunleavy from Blue Point was arrested in Patchogue for criminal possession of a controlled substance on June 20.
  • On June 21, Shera Dougherty from Bayport was arrested in Bayport for harassment.
  • Blue Point resident Steven Patane was arrested in Central Islip for criminal posession of stolen property and grand larceny on June 23.
  • Janice Halford from Ronkonkoma was arrested on June 23 on a charge of driving while intoxicated and again on June 24 for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
  • Marguerite Urquijo from Ronkonkoma was arrested in Bayport on a charge of driving while intoxicated on June 24.

Incidents

  • Middle Road residents in Bayport called police on June 18 to report a burglary at 2 p.m.
  • On June 19, police were notified of an incident of criminal mischief on South Ocean Avenue in Bayport at 3 p.m.
  • An incident of criminal mischief on Montauk Highway in Blue Point was reported to police on June 22 at 5 p.m.
  • On June 22, Blue Point residents on Division Avenue and Atlantic Avenue reported five incidents of criminal mischief froom 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. All incidents reported damage to property, including cars and homes.
  • Police were alerted of an incident of harassment on Lacy Court in Blue Point at 11 p.m. on June 23.
