Crime Report: Burglaries, a DWI Arrest and Harassment

This information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport and Blue Point. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. Complaints listed are alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests

Lea Schaetzle from Bayport was arrested in Bay Shore for driving while intoxicated on Aug. 30.

On Sept. 1 Michael Logan from Bayport was arrested in Bayport for Harassment.

Christopher Gilliard from Blue Point was arrested in Blue Point for petit larceny on Sept. 2.

Incidents

On Aug. 31 at 9 a.m., a person reported the burglary of a home on Middle Road in Blue Point to police.

At 7 p.m. on Sept. 1, police were notified of an incident of harassment that occurred on Terrace Road in Bayport.

On Sept. 1 at 10:30 a.m., a resident told police about the burglary of a home on Academy Street in Bayport.

At 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 1, police were advised of the burglary of a home on Barrett Avenue in Bayport.

On Sept. 1 at noon, a resident alerted police to an incident of harassment that occurred on Terrace Road in Bayport.

At 8 a.m. on Sept. 2, police were contacted about an incident of harassment that occurred on Edgewater Avenue in Bayport.
