Crime Report: Arrests made for Possession and Harassment
Recent police activity in the area as reported by the 5th Precinct.
The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.
ARRESTS
- On July 23, Scott Ospitale from Ronkonkoma was arrested in Sayville for criminal possession or marijuana.
- On July 23, Samuel Rodriguez from Sayville was arrested in Sayville for harassment, second degree, physical contact.
- On July 29, Tricia Interrante from Patchogue was arrested in West Sayville for DWI – first offense.

- On July 24, an incident of making graffiti was reported on Island Boulevard in Sayville.
- On July 25, an incident of grand larceny was reported on Route 27A in Sayville.
- On July 26, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Willow Street.
- On July 26, an incident of assault was reported at Rite Aid Drugs on Main Street in West Sayville.
- On July 27, an incident of aggravated harassment was reported on Johnson Avenue in Sayville.
