Crime Report: Arrests Made for Menacing, Possession and Petit Larceny

Recent police activity in the area as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests

  • In June 19, William Heafy Jr., from Sayville, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • On June 21, Ronald Bauland from Holtsville was arrested in Sayville for menacing.
  • On June 22, John Shurman from Sayville was arrested in Hauppauge for petit larceny.
  • On June 23, Edith Granada from College Point was arrested in Sayville for criminal possession of marijuana.
  • On June 23, Ronald Zuber Jr., from Sayville was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana.
  • On June 23, Kevin Sharapata from Sayville was arrested in Shirley for petit larceny.
  • On June 23, Edith Regan from Sayville was arrested in Riverhead for sex offender registration violation.

  • On June 19, an incident of harassment was reported on Johnson Avenue.
  • On June 20, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Sunrise Drive.
  • On June 20, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Lowell Road.
  • On June 21, an incident of petit larceny was reported on Foster Avenue & Main Street.
  • On June 21, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Lincoln Avenue.
  • On June 22, an incident of petit larceny was reported on Main Street.
  • On June 22, an incident of petit larceny was reported on Lakeland Avenue.
  • On June 22, an incident of criminal mischief was reported on Main Street.
  • On June 23, an incident of grand larceny was reported on North Main Street.
  • On June 24, an incident of harassment was reported on Roosevelt Avenue.
