Crime Report: Arrests Made for DWI and Harassment in Sayville

Recent police activity in the area as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Sayville and West Sayville. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests:

  • On Jan. 5, Angela Jozwicki from Centereach was arrested in Sayville for harassment.
  • On Jan. 7, Christopher Maier from Sayville was arrested in Islip Terrace for criminal possession of a controlled substance and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
  • On Jan. 8, Richard Mooney from Sayville was arrested in Patchogue for DWI.
  • On Jan. 9, Rachel Nixon from Shirley was arrested in Sayville for criminal misdemeanor with intent to damage property.

  • On Jan. 5, an incident of harassment was reported on Greene Avenue in Sayville.
  • On Jan. 6, an incident of grand larceny was reported on Kath Court in Sayville.
  • On Jan. 6, an incident of harassment was reported on Lakeland Avenue in Sayville.
  • On Jan. 8, an incident of assault was reported on Main Street in Sayville.
  • On Jan. 9, an incident of criminal mischief was reported at the Sayville Railroad station.
  • On Jan. 9, an incident of assault was reported on Lakeland Avenue in Sayville.
