A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

This information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport and Blue Point. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. Complaints listed are alleged crimes under local investigation.

Early Tuesday morning, 52 tires on 22 vehicles parked on First Street, First Avenue, Oakwood Avenue and Verka Court, among others, were reported to have been punctured by an unknown person(s). Police are investigating this tire slashing spree. 

Arrests

  • On Sept. 11, Raymond Frisch from Miller Place was arrested in Bayport for driving while intoxicated.
  • Michael Keeler from Bayport was arrested in Bayport for reckless endangerment on Sept. 12.
Incidents
  • On Sept. 11 at 2 a.m., a resident reported an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on Blue Point Avenue in Blue Point.
  • At noon on Sept. 12, police were notified of grand larceny that occurred on Boylan Lane in Blue Point.
  • On Sept. 14 at 12:30 a.m., a resident informed police of an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on Bay Avenue in Bayport.
  • At 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 14, police were told about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on Seaman Avenue in Bayport.
  • On Sept. 12 at 9:30 p.m., a resident alerted police to an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on Barrett Avenue in Bayport.
  • At 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, police were advised of an incident of harassment that occurred on Bayport Avenue in Bayport.
