Bayport FD Investigating Possible Gas Leak at Citibank
Firemen were called to Bayport Avenue bank about 1 p.m. after report of gas odor.
The Bayport Fire Department was called to Citibank at the corner of Bayport Avenue and Montauk Highway in Bayport about 1 p.m. today to investigate a possible gas leak in the bank building.
Fire trucks, Community Ambulance and police were on the scene within minutes of the call and as of 1:15 no gas leak had been discovered but firemen were conducting a thorough search of the property and building.
No one was hurt in the incident and no bank workers experienced any health issues, according to a bank employee.
