Police Seek Male in Bayport Carvel Robbery

Police say robber allegedly wielded a box cutter in demanding cash.

Suffolk Police are looking for a male who robbed the Bayport Carvel store Wednesday evening and threatened a store emplooyee with a box cutter.

According to a report provided by the employee, the man, described as having dark hair, wearing an orange hoodie, black pants and sneakers, walked into the Montauk Highway store about 4:45 p.m. He reportedly grabbed the employee by the shirt, displayed a box cutter and demanded money from the cash register.

Police say the employee complied with the man's request and that the suspect fled southbound on Snedecor Avenue.
