Bayport Burglary Suspect Due Back in Court Next Month

Homeless man stole cash from Oakwood Avenue home, say police.

An alleged burglar who broke into a Bayport home this month and reportedly stole cash is due back in First District court on November 12.

David Fleming, who police say is homeless, was arrested on October 15 in Blue Point after he allegedly burglarized a home on Oakwood Avenue at about 1:30 p.m. Police say he was also in possession of crack cocaine.

The 22-year-old burglary suspect is being held on a cash bail of $1,000 for the drug charge and a $25,000 cash bail for the C felony burglary allegation.

A temporary order of protection has been issued for the burglary victim, according to police.
