B-BP Crime Report: Grand Larceny, Menacing & Drug Arrests

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list regarding Bayport and Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

ARRESTS

October 20, 2012

Jonathan Bonner, of Bay Shore, was arrested in Bayport and charged with menacing in the second degree with a weapon.

October 19, 2012

Becky Boeckmann, of Bayport, was arrested in Stony Brook and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

October 18, 2012

Steven Kilmeade, of Bayport, was arrested in Mastic and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

October 14, 2012

Shanden Terry, of Bayport, was arrested in Central Islip and charged with grand larceny in the third degree.

INCIDENTS

October 21, 2012

A Bayport man was arrested in Patchogue and charged with criminal mischief.

A purse was reported stolen from a business on Blue Point Avenue.

October 18, 2012

A company on Vitamin Drive in Bayport reported criminal mischief to a fence.

A Church Street resident reported a threatening message from an unknown person.

A Bayport man was arrested in Shirley and charged with criminal contempt.

October 16, 2012

A Bayport business reported an incident of petit larceny involving beer being stolen.

A Bayport man was arrested in Bayport and charged with petit larceny.

October 15, 2012

Criminal mischief to street lamps on Montauk Highway in Bayport was reported.

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
