B-BP Crime Report: Road Rage Incident; Tools Stolen

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the Fifth Precinct.

The following information is directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's media incidents list regarding Bayport and Blue Point.

ARRESTS

February 23, 2013

A Blue Point man was arrested in Bayport and charged with criminal trespass.

A Coram man was arrested in Blue Point and charged with criminal mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana.

February 22, 2013

A West Babylon man was arrested in Blue Point and charged with possession of a hypodermic instrument.

February 21, 2013

A Blue Point man was arrested in Patchogue and charged with petit larceny.

February 19, 2013

A Blue Point man was arrested in Yaphank and charged with petit larceny and for a falsely written statement.

February 17, 2013

A Bayport man was arrested in Patchogue and charged with criminal contempt

February 25, 2013

A Morgan Lane resident reported an incident of criminal mischief.

February 24, 2013

A Terrace Road resident reported an incident of aggravated harassment.

February 18, 2013

A Grandview Drive resident reported tools stolen in a burglary at a house under construction.

February 13, 2013

An incident of road rage in which one driver’s cell phone was broken by another motorist was reported in the parking lot of Polished nail salon on Montauk Highway in Bayport.

And so the taxpayer is once again asked to give more to an already out of control and bloatedRead More system. Every year the school districts on Long Island receive increases of millions of dollars to their budgets, and still they want to bleed the taxpayer for more. As two income families struggle to pay exorbitant tax bills, we’re asked to pay even more? We’ll here’s a novel idea, how about if the teachers union’s began demanding less? This early retirement baloney must stop, salaries should be capped, administrators and their staffs must be cut by at least eighty percent. In addition, educators and staff should have to pay for their own medical and retirement plans just as the rest of us must. Here on Long Island, families are suffering and sacrificing, and many are being forced to leave due to taxes which are out of control. It is time for educators to cease hiding behind children with threats of decreased student programs, and to make an honest and realistic observation as to why things are as bad as they are. To blame parents for not paying enough into the system to support the schools is ludicrous. The real problem lies in a system which is self serving, and run by incompetents blind to the harm they are inflicting upon our children and families.
