B-BP Crime Report: Influx Of Crime In Blue Point

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

Arrests

• Jill Barszczak from Mastic was arrested in Blue Point on Feb. 1 on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
• Tammy Spillet from Yaphank was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Feb. 4.
• On Feb. 4, Connor White from Blue Point was arrested in Bayport on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
• Brentwood resident Jason Walker was arrested in Blue Point on charges of criminal trespass and criminal possession of a controlled substance on Feb. 5.
• On Feb. 5, Richard Matthews from Moriches was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
• Gerald Marino from West Islip was arrested in Bayport on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Feb. 6.
• Michael McLaughlin from Blue Point was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of criminal contempt on Feb. 9.
• Bayport resident Danielle Hursell was arrested in Ronkonkoma on charges of criminal contempt and criminal possession of a controlled substance on Feb. 10.

Incidents

• Police were notified of an incident of harassment on Homan Avenue in Blue Point at 11 p.m. on Feb. 1.
• On Feb. 1, police were alerted to an incident of criminal mischief on Atlantic Avenue in Blue Point at 10:30 p.m.
• On Feb. 4, an incident of harassment over the phone to a Bayview Avenue resident in Bayport was reported to police at 9 a.m.
• Bowne Avenue residents in Blue Point reported an incident of harassment to police on Feb. 9 at 7:45 p.m.
• On Feb. 10, another incident of harassment was reported to police on the Sunrise Service Road in Blue Point at 11:42 a.m.
