Armed Robbers Strike Sayville 7-Eleven

Two armed, masked men are wanted in connection with a crime spree that stretches from Elwood to Sayville.

Suffolk County Police are searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery spree that stretches from Elwood to Sayville.

The men, wearing masks and armed with a silver handgun, took cash from the registers of four businesses and, in separate instances, stole cigarettes and robbed an employee, police said. 

They are described as black males in their early 20s. One is at least 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 160 pounds, and was seen wearing dark acid-washed jeans with a black hoodie. He carried a black backpack.

The other man is 5-9 and was seen wearing long plaid shorts and a light-colored T-shirt under a dark sweatshirt.

  • July 15, 12:30 a.m.: 7-11 at 660 Lakeland Ave., Bohemia.
  • July 15, 10:52 p.m.: Viajo’s Pizzeria at 1277 E. Jericho Tpke, Elwood.
  • July 22, 1:25 a.m.: 7-11 at 1700 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Islandia.
  • July 22, 2:40 a.m.: 7-11 at 5640 Sunrise Hwy, Sayville.

According to police, two men robbed the Sayville 7-Eleven. One subject, wearing a mask, displayed a silver handgun and stole cash from the register while the other acted as the lookout.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
