Today's Question: Should Rep. Weiner Resign?

Patch asks, you answer.

New York Rep. Anthony Weiner acknowledged on Monday that he had exchanged inappropriate photos on the Internet through Twitter and other social media sites with six women over the last three years.

Weiner apologized to his wife and constituents during a news conference, but made it clear he has no intention of resigning. The congressman said that he regrets his actions, but did nothing against the law, and didn't violate his oath of office.

With another year-and-a-half left in his term, do you think Rep. Weiner should resign? Why or why not?

Please share your thoughts in the comments.

Not as long as he didn't violate any laws or rules of the House.

I think having been publicly humiliated and branded a liar should suffice as punishment for now. Also, in my home we have a saying: "Happy wife, happy life". You can be sure he's not living a happy life right now!

I do not believe that Anthony Weiner should resign his position. He committed an offense that I believe to be benign, compared to adultery; and adultery is rampant in this country. Anthony Weiner is a great politician, and if he resigned it would be our loss. A person's sexual life is none of our business. If having a squeaky clean track record was a prerequisite to holding public office, we would not have one politician in the entire country! Some may say that this is not such a bad idea!

He should be arrested for indecent exposure
