It's very sad what happened. But it's not murder. Come on!

I wouldn't say murder. However, if this sad, unfortunate incident were reversed, and the child hit the Sheriff and killed him, they would be walking this boy right into jail. At the least, the parents should have some closure, and be allowed to speak to the Sheriff involved to find out exactly what happened. Witness accounts, testimonies, etc is not enough. Of course an apology from the Sheriff to the parents would also be in order. Who knows if that's already happened? Maybe it has, but if it hasn't, it should. It's unfortunate. Someone loses their child, and their lives will never be the same. Someone loses their life, and maybe someone loses the ability to sleep at night knowing they caused the death of someone. Not good all tge way

All the way around.
